[Battle] Tauriel Cosplay - More Fabric?!

Yes, guys, I know. There has been like absolutely zero cosplay happenings on my blog this past month, and I apologize for that. College plans kind of became the priority for me. ;D

However! This post will rectify that very sad deficit -- because, costume progress posts are just fun. :D

Fabric. That's what came in le mail last Monday (yeah, you've probably noticed by now that I do a lot of my shopping online... xD). And it's for my Battle Tauriel costume. Who wants to see???

And - aren't I adorable - I even made a little video while I was doing a bit of sewing with it... ;)

    1. I would love to! The only reason I don't make them very often is because of the amount of time it takes to make them... for me at least. I'm too much of a perfectionist. ;D

  3. I love it!!! It's so cool! Can't wait to see it finished.
What song did you use? I know I have heard it before.... But I don't know what it is called...
And you should make more videos.

    1. Thanks!! I'm super excited about it. So far it's going pretty well, for it being my first corset/cincher/thing! ;)

And the song is "I Found You" by Anthony Evans. I heard it a few weeks ago on the radio, and loved it ever since. :)

Hehe! I'm hoping to do some more videos soon... they just take some time to make, so I can't do them as often as I'd like. But hopefully I'll make another one this month! :)

  5. Love the fabric. And the sewing machine! Is that some heavy duty singer model or is it just a older one? Whatever it is, it makes the singer simple I got as a graduation present four years ago look pretty pitiful. It's great fun look at the work others have done. I've spent the last day an a half making adjustents to my patterns and cutting the fabric. In the last day and a half I've spent about 29 and a half of about 30 hours give or take. But with final exams and the hobbit being mere days away, sleep must be sacrificed.

PS: thank you for inspiring me to go ahead and make my own costume for the premiere. Thank you for being super awesome!

    1. :D Thanks! ;) Yep, it's an older model, though I'm not sure how old (the Merritt 2502C), and it's technically my mom's but she never sews so I've kind of taken over ownership. ;D

Awesome about your own project!! That's so neat that you logged your hours making it -- it's crazy amount of time costumes like these take. O.o I can't even imagine all the hours I've spent making this costume... but it's all worth it of course. ;D And yep -- costumes and finals are the priority here, ain't nobody got time for sleep. XD

And you are so so welcome!!! I mean, I really try to be awesome... JK JK. ;D And good luck with finishing up your costume! And those finals, eesh. Just one more day... :D
