Avengers: Age of Ultron + A Call for Cosplayers!

ATTENTION: Important announcement for all my cosplaying followers!!!

I'm going to put together a blog post that will feature Avengers: Age of Ultron cosplays MADE/WORN BY YOU!

Send submissions to adventuresofanelvenprincess@gmail.com , including one picture of you/your group's cosplays, just to keep things simple (if you want to make a collage, that's totally cool!). Include whatever names you want to credit for le cosplayers and picture. If you want, and I totally encourage this, add a little paragraph with information on the costumes and experience! :)

Make sure you email your submission by Thursday, May 28th, as they will be posted midnight on Friday, May 29th.

I look forward to seeing and sharing your costumes!!! :)

Now, back to your regular programming. ;)

Today, it is time for my very last post concerning Age of Ultron. Basically, I had two last pictures I just had to share with you guys, and I figured I could share some of my fangirl-y thoughts on the movie to go with. ;D Oh, and also, this will be a no spoiler post, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, feel free to proceed. ;)

EXCITE
But before the photoshoot and the movie, I had to get ready... and I filmed the whole thing, sped it up and condensed it into 2.5 minutes, and now present to you a little behind-the-scenes look at what happened before I stepped in front of the camera. ;D

As for the movie experience, we went to the very first showing available at our favorite semi-local cinema: Thursday, April 30th, at 7:00pm in 2D, in case you wondered. ;) The whole theater was packed out, as you would expect, and it was such a great crowd. Everyone laughed so hard at the funny parts, there was definitely some audible sniffling at "THAT ONE PART," and almost everyone stayed for the mid-credits scene (literally only a family with kids left), and there were still quiet a few people who stayed with us for the non-existent post credits scene (hey, we had to make sure Joss Whedon wasn't lying! ;D)

And the movie... oh gosh I don't even know where to begin. The three new characters, Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff, Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff, and the Vision were all amazing, and I loved each one so much. There were so many absolutely hilarious lines and quips and antics, which were just perfect.

Okay basically Avengers: Age of Ultron (besides some choice language) is really, really awesome and I love it and it so totally lived up to the hype and it better make a ton of money or I will be upset because it deserves at least 1.5 billion. ^_^

Oh! And one final picture: us three with the paid cosplayers at the theater. That Iron Man was totally legit, and the guy dressed as Winter Soldier Captain America and I totally got a pic together (tho I'm not sure where that disappeared to.. :P). ;D

Okay okay, now, what did you guys think of the movie???????

  1. Oh, wow! I'm the first person to comment! That has not happened to me before. Anyways, the post is awesome, and the video as well (love your Liberty shirt). And I will send you my costume picture. :) Your movie theater must be really cool, we do not have (paid) cosplayers there.

    1. xD xD Thanks dear! ;D Oh yes -- that's my current favorite "chill" shirt. ;) Awesome! I'm so excited to share you guys' costumes!! :D Yes, I must admit, it is a pretty cool theater -- my friends and I have gotten a bit of a reputation there, too.. just the other day, when my older sister Alissa was printing out some pictures of my Cap cosplay at Walmart for my display board at graduation, the worker said, "Wait, was this girl at the premiere of Age of Ultron? I remember her being there..." Hilarious, right??? xD

  2. I loved AOU! And all those cosplays, ah they are so good! I really want to cosplay someday.

Did you like AOU better then the first Avengers, or less? I can't decide what one I like better...

Also, I loved the video :)

    1. :D Wasn't it just fabulous??? I loved how it further developed the characters and universe so well. :D I honestly CAN NOT decide whether I like it better than the first Avengers or not either!!! I've seen it twice {so far}, and my current opinion is that I kind of like the story of Avengers 1 better, but the script and characters better in Age of Ultron. Maybe. I dunno. HOW CAN WE CHOOSE

And yesss, you should most definitely cosplay someday!! To start out, you could do a casual cosplay, which basically is an outfit based/copied after a character that can be worn for everyday. They are so fun -- that's what I did for Cap 2, a casual cosplay of Natasha Romanoff (I loooove her style.. xD)

Hehehe, fanks girl, fanks. I had fun with that. ;D

    2. Thanks for the tips! I've been thinking about doing a Scarlet Witch cosplay for a convention I'm going to in July.

Oh yes, I love Natasha's style as well!

  5. Oh...THAT ONE PART...was so sad;) Awesome that you met other cosplayers:) What music did you use for the video? I love watching videos of people getting ready in the sped up version. It looks like you're a female Quicksilver getting ready for the day=)

  6. Oh, I didn't answer your question...I LOVED THE MOVIE(except the language). Hawkeye was the best and was and is, and will always be my favorite=) I really like how Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch looked out for each other(such good siblings). :) Can I just say that Hawkeye's family was A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.? =)

    1. THAT ONE PART yes. I'm so not ever that. :((((((( xD And yes! So fun. I think they were pleased to see other cosplayers, too!:)

The music on le video is "Heroes" from Age of Ultron! I'm totally obsessed with the new soundtrack in general, and that piece is one of my favorites. :D Like, EPICCC. ^_^ OH MY GOODNESS, I totally didn't even think of that -- the idea of me being a female Quicksilver getting ready for the day makes the video so much more awesome in my mind. XD

AHHHHH I. love. Hawkeye. The first time I saw le movie, I was so mad at how they completely RUINED Clintasha, but the second time I saw it, since I wasn't taken by surprise, I couldn't help loving the whole story with Clint. YESS It's just too ADORABLE!! ^_^ Oh, and me too!!! I loved Wanda and Pietro's relationship -- it felt so "right." The siblings dynamic was perfect!! It will be so interesting to see Wanda in Cap 3 and see how she is by herself tho, you know???

  7. I'm planning on sending in pictures of our cosplay group, but first I have to be able to access my pictures. I just got a new computer and it can't hold all my pictures (photographer problems), so I have to keep them on an external hard drive. Which is fine, except that I have to figure out how to get to them. :) I'm going to get a blog post or two up eventually (read: after graduation).

Also, your newest addition to your Pinterest cosplay boards is very entertaining. :) Did Grace give you the idea for that costume? ;)

    1. Wonderful!!! I was hoping you would -- you and Grace's and les friend's costumes were literally so great, and I'd seriously love to share them. :D Of course, I totally understand the issues with technology -- the struggle is real. #photographerproblems ;D And I so look forward to reading some new blog posts from ya, after you get through one of the busiest times of the highschool years, of course (it's such fun, right??). :P

HAHAH, I'm glad you think so!! xD And yes, totally -- I'd been wanting to cosplay Loki for forever and ever, and it kind of slipped to the back of my mind for the past year or so, and then I saw Grace's epic cosplay, and I was reminded of how awesome his costume is... and all that. The rest is history. ;D

  8. I came across your account just today as I was searching how to make a Captain America costume of my own for Halloween. As I looked at the finished project, let me just say, HOLY CRAP AM I JEALOUS!! I am a teenager who has absolutely no sewing abilities whatsoever and I am completely blown away at your talent! Sorry if this comment sounds creepy at all, but I am just sitting here in awe. Anyways, I have seen the movie 3 times now and the meme you posted was one of my favorite lines in the whole movie XD, but that's beside the point. This is so freaking cool and I am just, ugh, wow!! You're so amazingly talented.
